В наше время положение тяжёлое не только у бродячих животных, но и у домашних. Это объясняется, тем, что уже сейчас есть закон, который запрещает выгул собак в жилых районах города. Вот и приходится животным надеятся только на нас - на людей, которые не всегда протягивают им руку помощи. И вот, мы создали "Ковчег" - приют, который помогает животным, спасает их. На данный момент наша группа состоит из двадцати человек: это и учителя, и ученики, и пенсионеры нашего города. Мы всегда рады принять в свои ряды новых людей, которые, несомненно, внесут свой вклад в развитие нашего приюта. Итак, приглашаем всех неравнодушных принять участие в нашем проекте.

1. Information about the group submitting this proposal:

2. Information about proposed project:
a) Title of project “You are responsible to those whom you tamed”
b) Description of project: A non-government organization “Kovcheg”(“The Ark”) proposes some goals in improving the living conditions of our homeless pets such as: community actions for charity, wide-spread bringing up of the people, especially children to help each cat and dog to find its host family, sterilization of the homeless animals to decrease their population in humane way, constructing the city shelter for homeless pets.
c) Project proposal:
Our organization was founded in July 2004. We are registered by Yalta City Council as a non-government, non-commercial, non-political organization having the goal to help to “our young brothers”, our homeless pets. We exist only due to money of the organization members and charity actions. In September we had the city pet exhibition trying to pay attention to the disastrous situation of homeless cats and dogs and to find the new families for orphan kittens and puppies. We also organized the Christmas exhibition having involved our local Chekhov museum, the young artists of Crimea and school children and the students of our University. We invited the representatives of city mass-media. We try to collaborate with other shelters and rescue groups or organization (Kiev, Sebastopol) but in Ukraine it is very difficult to find funds for animals needs because of non-stable political situation and a low level of living of our people. The members of our organization are sure that having $5,000 we can continue our program of sterilization and finding homes for more than 100 cats and 30 dogs. We also attach the stories of adoption during half a year (July-December 2004) and some articles in our local newspapers.
